This privacy policy sets out how Gold Band Taxis Christchurch Society Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) collect, use, store and disclose your personal information when you use the Gold Band Taxi App (“the App”). We are committed to complying with applicable privacy laws and will take all reasonably available measures to protect your privacy.
By accessing and using the App, and providing personal information to us, you consent to the collection and use of such information by us, our affiliates, partners, contractors and permitted agents consistent with applicable laws and in accordance with this privacy policy.
What is personal information?
“Personal information” is information about you, and which may identify you alone or in conjunction with other information. Personal information we collect may include (but is not limited to) your name, address, date of birth, email address, credit card details and bank
account details. With your permission, we may share this information with others in accordance with this policy.
If you provide information to us about another person (such as a spouse or relative) then you are responsible for making that individual aware that you have disclosed their personal information to us and that we can use their information as set out in this policy. Please direct them to this policy.
How we collect and use your personal information
We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly obtain parental consent or remove the information. We collect the personal information that you provide to us through the App., such as:
Location Services.
We use a randomly generated user ID to anonymously identify your device so you mayshare your location with others.
With your permission, we may also access other personal information on your mobile internet capable device, such as your phone book, calendar, photos/video, contacts, browser history or messages, in order to provide services to you.
To customise our service for you, we may collect, use and share location data, including the real-time geographic location of your internet capable mobile device. This location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used only to provide and improve our service. We may obtain your consent to collect this location data on your first use of the App.
The App may contain links to a variety of advertising and third party website sources. Some of these links may request or record information from users. We have no control over the content or privacy policy practices of such sites and you should review their privacy policies before engaging in any activity with them.
We may from time to time send you communications from Gold Band to your registered email address.
Disclosure of your personal information
We will only disclose your personal information in accordance with the purposes for which it was collected from you.
We may be required to disclose personal information received from you:
- to third parties contracted by us in order to perform our services. For example, we may share you personal information with third party data processing agents we retain for any of the purposes described in this policy. We may change this policy from time to time. If we change this policy, we will notify you through the App and your continued use constitutes your acceptance of the changed policy and any personal information collected following will be subject to that changed policy.
