The new Gold Band Taxi app is available now for iOS and Android phones. Our new free app makes it easier than ever to book a Gold Band Taxi.
Ever wanted to know how far away your taxi is when you’ve booked it? With the Gold Band Taxi App you can watch as your taxi approaches on a map– and remain in control.
With a simple, yet functional user interface – Gold Band is the fastest way to book cabs – whether you want to go now or later.
Don’t quite know where you are? The App figures it out for you. As your taxi approaches you’ll be able to keep track of it and meet it on arrival.
Safe Track™, share your journey with Safe Track™ and make sure your loved ones know you’re safely on your way.
Favourite Places, manage and name your favourite places so you can easily find them for your next booking.

Pick Up
Your current location will show automatically in the pickup field. You can change this simply by over-typing an alternative pickup location, or selecting one from Favourites Places. As you type, you will be offered matching options you can choose from, to speed up the process.
Destination
Start typing your destination in the Destination field, or select one from Favourites Places. As you type, you will be offered matching options you can choose from, to speed up the process.
Pickup Time
The current time and date are display as defaults. If your booking is for a future time, simply change the default by selecting an alternative time and date.
Number of Passengers
Select the number of passengers travelling, from 1–4 people (for more than this, or if you wish to book a van, use the “Call Gold Band Taxis” icon on the front screen to make your booking via an operator).
Confirm Booking
When you’ve completed entering all of the details above, press the “Confirm Booking” button. (NB: if you have entered a future booking, you will receive a notification 1 hour before the booked pickup time, to confirm that you still require a taxi).
Make a Booking
The Make a Booking icon leads you to the booking screen, with really simple, intuitive prompts that lead you step-by-step through the booking process – and if you need extra help to book, click the “?” in the booking screen. Your cab could be on its way in seconds!
Current Bookings
The Current Bookings page is where you can see all future bookings that you’ve made. Check a booking, change a booking, remind yourself about upcoming booked trips. You can do it all from here! (Once the bookings are completed they will move from here to the “My History” section of your My Settings page).
Where’s My Cab?
Use Where’s My Cab? To watch your booked taxi drive towards you on the screen map. It’ll also show you a likely route for the journey, and recommended directions and track your progress as you ride. You can also access your Safe Track™ feature from this page.
Safe Track ™
Safe Track™ is unique to Gold Band Taxis! It’s our gift to you, to help keep your loved ones as safe as possible and to give you peace of mind. Use Safe Track™ to follow the progress of trips booked for your children, elderly parents, a vulnerable passenger, or indeed anyone you want to share your ride with. Have fun arriving for a date – let your significant other follow your progress towards them!
To use: once you’ve entered a journey booking, click the Safe Track™ button in the Where’s My Cab? screen: a text message will open up, containing a link. Send this text/link to whomever you wish, to allow them to track your journey. (NB: The person tracking your trip will also need to have pre-installed the Gold Band Taxis app).
Call Gold Band Taxis
For those rare occasions when you may want to contact with our Call Centre in person, this icon offers a quick and easy way to get in touch.
Favourite Places
Favourite Places is where you can load and store (and ‘name’) frequently-used addresses, to allow rapid future booking to or from any of them. Set up, and name, ‘Home’, ‘Work’, or any other key address, for later one-touch use! And if you forget to add it to your Favourite Places when you book, that’s no problem either – just go to My History, choose the address you want to save, click on the heart– and it’ll be added to your Favourite Places with the name you give it!
And, If you lose, damage or upgrade your phone, all of your Favourite Places will load onto your new phone, when you download the app onto it and login in with your existing details.
My Settings
My Settings is where you set up details about you – your Name, Phone Number and Email Address. These are used when you make a booking via your new app.
From this page you can also access your My History page.
