We would like to thank you for your support so far with our attempts to regain the award we won in 2009. We came so close to making it a double last year, however it was not to be and we would like to congratulate Bay Tours & Charters on their success in 2010.

Why have Gold Band Taxis been so quiet lately?

Well thanks for asking! We haven't been that quiet really.. Behind the scenes is where it all happens and Gold Band Taxis have been hard at work revamping the Customer Service Centre.

We just want to give a big thank you to the following contracators who assisted in making it all possible: Aotea Electric Group, Terence (The Comms Guy), Air Con Christchurch Ltd, Spencer Painters & Decorators, Adrian The Roofer, Just Water, Office Max, Nick - Mr Fix It, Ryelands Ltd, Clyne & Bennie Plumbing, Dores for Floors, The Gold Band Board of Directors and last but not least the Gold Band Taxis Customer Service Centre Team who had to be locked away in a tiny wee cupbaord during the refurbishment.

Thank you all very very much to each and every one of you. The assistance from clearing out the old and bringing in the new could never have gone so smoothly and efficiently as it did.

I thought as i was just by the Botanical Gardens where it's all dark, shadowy and who knows what's lurking around. I work in town so started walking hoping that nothing was going to jump out at me but not really sure what else I could do - no point in ringing a cab as didn't think they would be able to take my bike. I got down by the hospital when one of your vans passed me. I walked around the corner and the driver had pulled over to see if i was okay. He kindly offered to take me and my bike to work and I arrived safe and sound. When there are so many negative things in our world it is nice to know that there are still good people out there that are willing to help someone else.." *** LIZ LOVELL ( OFFICE OF HON GERRY BROWNLEE ) : "I Left my phone in the taxi and the driver - Eddie - found it and tracked me down to the Mayoral Suite and came up to return it to me. I don't know how he found out where I was in the building! It meant the world to me as I was panicking and so worried as I did not know where I had lost it. Please pass on my sincere thanks to him." *** CLARRIE & JIM DALLARD ( WINDSOR HOUSE - RESIDENTS ) : "On Sunday 24th May I had occasion to use a wheel chair taxis from your firm, to take my wife, who is both blind and unable to walk, on a short outing to New Brighton beach car park where she could oth smell and hear the sea. I was some what apprehensive of her reaction as she had not been able to travel in a vehicle for over a year. I need not have worried, the driver, a lady ( Chris No.308 ) struck up an instant rapprt with my wife and put her at ease, and made our 62nd wedding anniversary day, one to remember.
