Taking first place in 2009 with tough competition Gold Band Taxis are proud to be nominated again for the Corporate Events Guide "Best Nationwide Transportation 2010" category for a second year in a row! If your not familiar with this event here's a brief rundown..

Potential nominees for "The People's Choice Awards" were compiled with the help of a panel of judges at The Corporate Events Guide, a leader within the corporate event industry in New Zealand. The Awards carry great prestige by enabling the New Zealand public to identify companies that have excelled in their field of expertise over the past 12 months.

Votes will be recorded throughout the year with the overall winner for each category to be announced in late October 2010.

You have most likely heard about it; read about it, been told about it or even experienced it. We can't really stop it, but at Gold Band Taxis we are committed to minimising the risk of spreading the H1N1 strain.

How are we doing this? Simple..

We are working smarter to keep our customers and drivers safer. We are actively taking steps to reduce the risk of Influenza A. Every Gold Band Taxi will have a "Pandemic Pack" consisting of Antibacterial sprays, gloves, masks and hand wash gel. Depending on the sanitising method, this will be used as required; daily, or weekly to sanitise the vehicle for the customers and drivers protection. Also provided in the custom pack are Antibacterial wipes to clean down high contact surface areas.

Our committment doesn't stop with the drivers either! Staff in our call centre and administration office also have available Antibacterial hand wash, gloves, masks and wipes. It's all just a small part of our larger action plan.

So when you travel in a Gold Band Taxi you can just relax! We have thought ahead and taken many practical precautions to keep you safe.

What a great cause!! Gold Band Taxis have supported the Telethon in the past. Not only that a world record was broken at the same time!!
